While I wouldn’t categorize this novel as a thriller, this story about the special bonds of friendship between Billie West and Cassie Barnwell had me totally hooked. We all remember having close ties of sisterhood when we were young that were woven tighter than a French braid and as weather-resistant as a double coat of hairspray. Time can tear us all to shreds as we grow beyond the boundaries of our teenage selves. How much strain can those sisterly bonds truly endure?
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has experienced or appreciates the ups and downs of a long-term friendship.
