Enthralling!
A daughter receives news that sends her reeling and embarking on an unexpected journey to dig up the past. In her quest for answers, she finds so much more than she’d ever expected.
Historical fiction is at its best when it conjures a portal into the past . . . when you can almost see the intricate retro fashions or hear celebratory champagne glasses clink in grand (and nervous coffee sips in not-so-grand) venues of yesteryear.
This novel has a great narrative flow and smooth transitions . . . pages filled with vivid nostalgia, startling intrigue, and healing redemption . . . a must-read!
I’d like to thank Dutton for an advanced copy of The Pilot’s Daughter for my unbiased evaluation. 5 stars
