After our recent move to Pensacola, my husband and I have decided to get out and explore our new surroundings . . .
On Tuesdays from early April to late October, there is a FREE concert series on the Pensacola Beach. Each performance starts at 7 pm in the Pavilion overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
Bands on the Beach is sponsored and provided by Santa Rosa Island Authority, Cat Country 98.7 radio station, and many other area businesses—a public event very popular with the locals. In order to properly dub ourselves Floridians . . . we knew we had to check it out!
We like to go early to set up our chairs and grab a bite to eat or a cocktail at a nearby restaurant like Sidelines, Crabs on the Beach (say hi to Destiney & Lura at the bar), or Flounders Chowder House before the show starts (you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages —just please don’t litter or bring glass).
It has become an activity that I look forward to every week. There is something so special and calming about feeling the salty breeze on my skin, listening to good music, and watching the colorful sunset near the churning waters of the gulf.
Whether you are a local or a visitor to the Pensacola shores . . . come out on Tuesdays and join us for an evening of music and fun . . . we would love to see you there!
