Once I overlooked a few minor things that snagged my editing eye and the story gained its full stride . . . I found myself enjoying the arduous search for answers to why a hermit who lives in Ohio would be selected for British knighthood. An even bigger mystery is why would Thomas Thoreaux subsequently refuse the acknowledgment and title for his heroic wartime efforts?
Ultimately this book explores themes of betrayal, punishment, honor, forgiveness, and the possibilities of redemption.
I’d like to thank NetGalley and Wild Rose Press for an advanced copy of Saving Thomas for my unbiased evaluation. 3 stars
