After our recent move to Pensacola, my husband and I have decided to get out and explore our new surroundings.

If you are craving a fun night out, head on downtown to Seville Quarter in Pensacola!

The decor of the building and the atmosphere has an old-style charm which makes this a destination reminiscent of New Orleans nightlife. We arrived early (before 7 pm) to snack on appetizers (oysters and gumbo). The food and the service were good. The menu was a bit pricey for the portion size, so I wouldn’t make the dining a weekly routine, but I will suggest the entertainment as a “don’t miss” to all of my out of town visitors.

Just before the show I ordered myself a Flaming Hurricane in a souvenir glass and enjoyed the live “Dueling Pianos” performance at Rosie O’Grady’s. The show started at 8 pm on Wednesday. We had so much fun singing along to requests by the crowd . . . all the songs interpreted by a crew of top-notch musical talent. There are several venues within the complex housing themed rooms to satisfy a variety of musical tastes, for merrymakers to sing or dance the night away. Singalongs, dancing, karaoke, concerts, beer pong, and other occasional contests offer different atmospheres for fun to be had by all.

On a Friday night in July we attended a super fun Molly Ringwalds concert on the premises at Phineas Phogg’s.

*Update:

We recently returned for another fun-filled night with friends. With three separate occasions under my belt at Seville Quarter, I am confident to report that any visit will result in a good time.
